Abstract

Our research concentrates on many-body effects, that are generated through the interplay of geometrical constraints, interactions and gauge fields. Examples range from localisation effects and unconventional superfluid pairings to topological states of matter and their possible use for quantum technologies. In particular, we often deal with ultracold atoms as a versatile platform to achieve such aims.

Numerical simulations lie at the basis of our investigations: Density Matrix Renormalization Group (DMRG) and related Tensor Network algorithms, as well as Exact Diagonalization, are our everyday tools.
